Genesis Crystals Launch Update from CTO, MasterJedi

Hey folks! It’s coming up on launch day, so I wanted to update you on our plans.

We’re going to move the launch back 24 hours to give the team some breathing room for additional setup and testing. Transparency is the hallmark of our process, so keep reading for additional context.

The team has been doing a tremendous job inventing the dozen or more systems required to make this happen, and I couldn’t be more proud of the result. The simpler you want something to be for end users, the more orchestration is required to make it work smoothly, and everyone has risen to the challenge.

So many things have to perfectly align for the launch to be as smooth as possible, from the whitelist to upgradeable smart contracts to secondary market listings. In keeping with our space theme, you don’t force alignment between the rocket, the stand, and the fueling components, you make adjustments until the components align.

For example, if you want 3 NFTs but we only have 2 left, we had to invent a way to make sure you still get the 2 NFTs instead of totally failing the transaction. That’s a super-simple concept in C#, but Solidity + the OpenZepplin standard contracts are simply not designed that way.

So here’s the updated schedule:

Whitelist Winners Announced: Tuesday, April 26th @ 4pm EDT

Pre-Sale: Thursday, April 28th @ 12pm EDT

Public Sale: Friday, April 29th @ 12pm EDT

BinanceNFT Sale: Friday, April 29th @ Time TBD

Crystal Rewards Drop: Monday, May 2nd @ 12pm EDT

Crystal Reveal: Thursday, May 4th @ 12pm EDT

The thing that drives us the most is your continued support, and we’re super excited for you to get your hands on this experience we’ve been working so hard on. Thank you for being on this journey with us, and we’ll see you Thursday.
